Mindy has more than 20 years of experience in public relations and advertising. Her diversified background includes developing and implementing strategic marketing communications campaigns, supervising and planning special events and extensive media relations.
She and partner Anne Waliczek headed up an extensive media relations campaign forthe opening of Northwestern Memorial Hospital’s redevelopment project, which was recognized in 2000 with the Publicity Club of Chicago’s Gold Trumpet Award. Most recently, they have worked with Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital to raise awareness of its new Cardiac Care Center (open March 2005), and Central DuPage Hospital for the opening of its new Women and Children’s Pavilion, Ambulatory Services Pavilion and ongoing publicity of its cardiac, neurosurgery, pediatric and orthopedic service lines.
Mindy helped develop and serve as primary planner and writer for Baxter’s award-winning Hemophilia Galaxy website, featuring topics of interest to hemophilia patients and their caregivers. She also developed an award-winning employee volunteerism program for Baxter, including a quarterly newsletter, recognition awards and United Way kickoff campaigns; and spearheaded media relations for Baxter’s participation in FIRST, a program that challenges students and corporate mentors to work together for a robotics competition.
With Unilever, she raised awareness of the company’s nascent Suave Performance Plus Award for Chicago teachers by establishing a strong partnership with local broadcast media.
She has used her public relations expertise to provide counsel and project management for non-profit organizations including Playing 2 Win 4 Life (an ALS research organization), Sarah Siddons Society, Kids First Health Fair, Deerfield Chamber of Commerce and District 109 Caucus Committee.
